Hudsons Wholefoods was the baby of Gill and Rich Hudson, and was 'born' in ballydehob in 1986. It brought all manner of interesting and different food stuffs, lentils, spices, tofu, brown rice, to this small outpost. Over the decades, Hudsons grew into an important hub in the village and wider environs of west cork... Gill was ahead of her time refilling olive oil and soya sauce bottles and scooping grains and pulses into makeshift containers, aswell as offering a comprehensive range of health supplements and advice. Hudsons 'Famous in West Cork' pasties have become a very popular and healthy fast food.

Cathy and Geoff took over the running of Hudsons in 2016 and while still remaining true to it's wholefood origins, you can now also find many deli products here, organic wines, irish farmhouse cheeses. Our artisan bread, baked fresh each morning is gorgeous and much in demand. Every day our kitchen team creates an array of delicious foods  (soups, salad baps, tortilla, savoury titbits and of course our signature pasties) to takeaway or enjoy in our chilled out cafe.

We hope you get a chance to come and visit our hybrid of all things good food and health!
